Next
morning we found ourselves in Belfast. We asked this cabbie if he'd
take us around to the major sights. Namely, Falls and Shankill Roads.
Here
we go. We were actually a bit concerned that this cab driver might
take off with our stuff. But he turned out to be a cool guy.
This
place is most easily recognised from the house murals.
Here's
another one comemorating people and incidents from "The Troubles".
We
felt a bit odd posing for a photo in this place. But the cabbie thought
it'd be funny, and hey, he was a pretty big guy.
This
house is the Catholic area, Falls Road.
.
This
mural commemorates the ten IRA prisoners who fasted to death
in the Hunger Strike of 1981. This place was TENSE.
