Here's
Cummings posing outside of Washington Irving's room with the book.
Real smart purchase, tough guy. That 20 euro was for tomorrow's food.
This
is the view outside of Irving's room...
Easy
to see why the guy was so inspired.
Carl
reading that damn book again. (Although it was kind of cool to
read these old tales of ghosts and buried treasure and then to go and
find the actual rooms and statues mentioned)
Meanwhile,
Faith take a few shots.
Like
everywhere else in Europe, lots of... cats.
The
circular
inner plaza of the museum building.
Here
we are at the base of the main fortress of Alcazaba.
A
quick look back at the museum building....
...
before ascending into the fortress part of the compound. This look
back at the ramparts gives a good indication of the steepness of the slope.
Faith
ponders the mysteries of the Labrynth.
A
look ahead of us... that bell tower is our destination.
Once
atop the last building we look back at the "labrynth"... really
just the
surviving foundations of long-gone buildings.
And
here we are at the highest point of the Alhambra, overlooking
beautiful Granada.
Not.
Bad.
