This
was the bus the hostel sent to pick us up.
And
these are the other people waiting for the ferry. We actually ended up
spending
quite a bit of time with most of these guys. The bald guy on the top left
was the hostel
cook. The 2 guys in front of him are James and Paul, from Australia. The
2 girls in the
back row in between them and me and Faith are Jackie and Skye (also from
Australia).
The girls in the middle and front-left we didn't really talk to, but the
couple on the right
is Claire and Brandon.
Here
we all are playing "Asshole" and drinking Amstel Light onboard
the ferry. This shot
was taken approximately an hour before we all got into a near-fistfight
with a room full
of Greek truckers. Claire and James aparrently inadvertently insulted
someone's father. This
resulted in the entire room jumping to its feet, women getting smacked
and guys getting shoved
until the ship's security were able to break it up. It was bad news and
sort of a long story, but it
proved to be quite an amazing bonding experience, suddenly surrounded by angry Greek men
alone in the middle of the ocean. Although we didn't sleep too well, we were able to survive
the
night and arrived safely the next morning in the Greek port-city of Patras.
